2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Spied During Testing In Michigan And It Looks Bigger

The first images of what appears to be the next test of the Toyota Grand Highlander 2024. A version that is larger than its predecessor to compete with new trends.

Toyota applied for a trademark for the name “Grand Highlander” in January 2021, six months later, reports began to emerge that the name would add a three-row option.

This way you can compete with Ford Explorer, Chevrolet Traverse and Volkswagen Atlas, all longer than the Toyota Highlander. The firm sells a larger SUV, but it’s the higher-priced body-on-frame Sequoia.

The images that accompany the note show the prototype with a heavy Camouflage, near Toyota’s Michigan Tech Center. Details are still scant, but you can see a couple of exhaust pipes hanging one from each end of the rear bumper, which differs from what is offered on the current model.

Under that extensive camouflage, this model looks boxier than the highlander standard. With a tall, boxy rear section, the model looks poised to offer more space with a third row.

Reports suggest that a Lexus version of this crossover will arrive in due course. Dubbed the TX, it should follow the Grand Highlander, due for release in mid-2023, in about six months.
