During the ‘break’, Pierre Gasly had moved to the front in the Alpine, but after a brief stint in pitlane after five laps, Alonso returned and improved his time to third with a 1:26.312, behind only the Ferraris.

From there there were many more stints, numerous laps and several tests with the different tire compounds, but the weather did not change again, leaving him third after the first five hours. His last stint was in the first five minutes of the sixth hour, completing the end of the Pirelli test.

The Pirelli Test in Abu Dhabi

This test has not only served to begin to acclimatize to his new team, but also to test the tires that Pirelli has created for the 2023 season. And it is that, the construction of the compounds that it already had has been changed, producing a new C1, that will be located between the previous C1 (which becomes C0) and C2.

His last tweets were from the night before, about Sebastian Vettel. It was around four hours later when they posted two photos of Alonso greeting him in the post.
