The Mayor of Valparaiso Jorge Sharp in a short TikTok video asks that eliminate the specific taxalleging that Chile has the most expensive fuel in Latin America.

It is worth mentioning that due to the rise in the dollar and the increase in energy prices worldwide, taking into account the war in Russia and Ukraine that tightened supplies, the price has been rising. However, local prices have tended to fall in recent weeks.

And this could be extended even further. According to the Ministry of Finance, prices could continue to fall in the following weeks, even until the end of February.
