GM is pushing hard toward an electric future, and advertising during the Super Bowl is certainly a way to get EV exposure. That’s what we get in this fast-paced ad featuring funny guy Will Ferrell, showing off various EVs through the various programming available on Netflix. In addition to partnering with Netflix for commercials, some shows on the streaming platform will feature GM-sourced EV in the future.

This is every mom and dad’s nightmare. You’re about to check into a hotel for a fun family vacation when you realize baby’s favorite binky isn’t there. For those who don’t speak parents, binky is a pacifier, and this determined dad will stop at nothing to get it. He jumps into a Kia Telluride and embarks on an adventure to get his hands on binky without delay, capturing the attention of the entire nation in the process.

It’s a cheeky advertisement admittedly, but it’s a struggle that might resonate with parents who find themselves alone and about cranky babies. No celebrity looks here – do you need a celebrity with a cute baby? But the ad ended in a cliffhanger which would be resolved by multiple endings being posted to TikTok. As soon as they are available, we will share them here.

What happened to the Jeep and the Super Bowl is still a mystery, as the official advert hasn’t dropped yet. That is, us think about it’s not down yet.

The video above features a pop song from the Nashville-based music artist Rayelle, appeared without context on Jeep’s YouTube channel on February 7 but made no mention of the game. It’s just not a smoking gun, but then Jeep shared a strange teaser showing footage of the flamingo “auditioning” for the commercial, saying it’s an animal that didn’t make the cut.

A flamingo is certainly no match for a pair of snowy Jeeps looking for a parking spot, but the teaser also calls this auditionee a “Jeep 4xe Big Game.” And the video shows the two 4xe models exclusively, so they can be connected to the Super Bowl Jeep venue. We’ll know for sure by the two-minute warning for the first half of the game on Sunday, as that’s when the commercial is scheduled to run.

And just like that, we go from the teaser to real life. Jeep aired “Electric Boogie” for 60 seconds before halftime. It presents automakers as friends of nature with animals dancing to a remix of the song, which originally popularized the “electric slide”. Now Jeep is inviting people to join their version of the “electric skating” movement on TikTok.

The “Electric Boogie” remix was created specifically for the Jeep campaign. Produced by Shaggy, it features Jamaican Reggae singer Marcia Griffiths with Amber Lee, Jamila Falak, and Moyann and will be downloaded on Sunday.

Ram: Featuring The Ram 1500 Rev

Ram 1500 Rev

Ram also leaves us with a mystery in our hands. According to a Stellantis press release, a 60-second Ram Super Bowl commercial will air at the start of the fourth quarter. We haven’t heard anything else on the matter, but Ram recently announced the name of its upcoming full-size electric pickup truck: the Ram 1500 Rev. A teaser photo was also released, shown above.

The time of this announcement is very close to the Super Bowl. Could this be a teaser for Ram’s Big Game commercial?

Stay tuned, as we’ll be updating this page with the latest information and any surprise ads that appear during Super Bowl LVII.
