The bestial assault on your senses of a Honda S2000 with 600 hp (+ video)

On many occasions I have praised the Mazda MX-5, and I have to say that I am the happy owner of an NB2 with a 1.6 liter engine. But to be honest, the reason I have a Mazda MX-5 is because I can’t afford a Honda S2000 – now here near. The S2000 is the philosophy of the Miata, raised to maximum power, even more purist and with one of the best engines in history. The Honda S2000 is a wonderful carbut it can still be better. For example, if you receive a huge turbocharger and raise its power to 600 hp.

High-powered Honda S2000s aren’t all that rare across the pond, but in Europe, the high-flying tuning scene is much smaller. The unit in question has been prepared in one of the best specialists in Honda from Holland – excuse the redundancy – and in addition to a huge turbocharger, it has reinforced internal components. The car’s owner is a regular on trackdays, and the S2000 features sport suspension, well-worked aerodynamics and a full roll cage to ensure maximum rigidity.

Its top speed is more than 270 km/h, and is only limited by the short developments of the change.

But the protagonist of the first-person driving experience recorded by AutoTop NL, is, of course, the engine. The brilliant two-liter developed 240 hp, but after being turbocharged, it retains the same engine speed and almost triples its power. This is patent in the way it has to gain speed in any of its gears. It loses traction in third, in the dry, and runs out of gear voraciously. In addition, the tester decides to take a short walk on the Autobahn to demonstrate his capabilities. You have to see the video.
