2018 Toyota Tacoma Diesel

2018 Toyota Tacoma Diesel

Toyota has definitely been one of the most popular and best-selling brands when it comes to pickup trucks of all sizes. One truck that justifies a reputation like that has been on its way to hit the most challenging roads as a redesigned 2018 model. It will be the new 2018 Toyota Tacoma Diesel.

The Tacoma model belongs to Toyota’s midsize pickup trucks that have been known for their powerful look and off-road performance. The 2018 redesign of the Toyota Tacoma Diesel will rather include some minor changes and refreshments that can be noticed in both front and rear fascia. According to our sources, the manufacturer should combine high-strength steel with some lightweight materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber in order to save some weight. Therefore, you can definitely expect some serious improvements in terms of efficiency and overall performance. The truck will still show its aggressive and muscular styling that promises a real adventure wherever you go. It will be available in several trim levels and two body styles. When it comes to exterior, the front end of the new Tacoma Diesel, especially its large hexagonal grille, seems inspired by the 4Runner model. You will also find its large LED headlamps. The base model should stand on standard 16-inch steel wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.

The interior of the 2018 Toyota Tacoma Diesel should also show some minor updates in terms of materials, comfort, and technology. The cabin will be spacious and provide two rows of seats for five passengers. In higher trim levels, leather will be found on the seats and the steering wheel. The driver should also expect a 4.2-inch multi-information display in the instrument cluster and a larger touch-screen display with the infotainment system, a 6.1-inch one in the base model. The Tacoma will come with lots of standard and optional features such as navigation system, sound system, climate control, USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity. Its standard safety features will include adaptive cruise control, airbags, automatic high beams, rear park assist, a rearview camera and others.

The 2018 Toyota Tacoma Diesel should offer two engine choices under the hood. The first one comes with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder that hits 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. The other one uses a 3.5-liter V6 that should deliver up to 278 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque, and new 2.8 liters that is used in Toyota Hilux. The new Tacoma is expected to offer both a six-speed manual and automatic transmission, but we are waiting for more information at the moment. We know that all the Toyota truck fans are hoping for a similar engine in Toyota Tundra Diesel too.
