2020 Toyota Sienna
Although some reports suggest that this minivan could be redesigned soon, it looks like the 2020 Toyota Sienna will continue in the same way. Although introduced in 2010, the current generation is still a very strong competitor in this segment. It has a lot of strong points, starting from a generous list of standard equipment and a spacious cabin.
Also, it comes with a powerful V6 engine and it is the only model in class that offers all-wheel drive. The next-year model won’t get any notable changes, so don’t count on any earlier arrival than usual.
- Strong V6 engine
- Optional AWD
- Spacious cabin
- Standard Safety Sense suiteCons:
- Some rivals look more attractive on the inside
- High starting price
Given the model’s age, it’s no wonder it rides on Toyota’s familiar K platform. It is one of a few models that still use this architecture and that is the main reason why many experts suggest a soon redesign. It may not be the most drivable vehicle to drive, but it definitely looks very attractive, despite the age.
A big thanks go to the recent facelift, which happened less than two years ago. For that occasion, the Sienna came with a completely new front end, with new grille, headlights and other parts that are completely adapted to the brand’s latest designed language. Therefore, the 2020 Toyota Sienna definitely won’t feature any bigger change, except possible new color options in the offer.
The cabin is the most important part of every minivan and 2020 Toyota Sienna will definitely have a lot to offer. Some rivals may look a little bit fresher, but this minivan is still amazing in so many aspects. With almost 120 inches in wheelbase, it is one of the most spacious models in the class, with plenty of legroom and generous cargo space.
The overall interior quality is great, while the list of standard equipment includes pretty much all tech goodies you would normally expect from a modern car, which isn’t the case with some other Toyota models. Also, Safety Sense is standard across the whole range.

The 2020 Toyota Sienna will continue with a familiar 3.5-liter V6, which makes it one of the most powerful models in the class. A max output goes around 296 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. It comes in a pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which provides an extremely smooth ride.
Also, it is important to mention that this is the only model in class that offers AWD version. Some reports suggest a hybrid version in the future as well. That would probably be a V6-based system, similar to ones we can find in models like Highlander or Lexus RX 450h.
2020 Toyota Sienna Release Date and Price
When it comes to the 2020 Toyota Sienna release date, it should be scheduled for late 2019. The price should remain pretty much the same, which would $31,000.
