2021 Toyota Tundra Diesel
Everyone agrees that the current generation of this excellent truck is a little bit old to compete with much younger rivals. However, latest reports suggest that the redesign won’t happen so soon and that we will have to wait for another year or two to see a completely new model.
The Japanese manufacturer will try to keep the current model competitive and many ways and one of them is a new version with an oil-burner, which will come as the 2021 Toyota Tundra Diesel. Other than a diesel engine, we shouldn’t see any more notable change.
- Efficient diesel engine
- Improved towing capacity
- Lots of safety features
- Excellent predicted reliability ratings
- Outdated interior design
- Lack of some tech goodies
Despite this will be a completely new version, it will come with a pretty familiar exterior design. The 2021 Toyota Tundra Diesel will feature pretty much the same styling, which was updated a couple of years ago. This refresh has brought a couple of notable styling changes at the front, so the current version still looks attractive, despite the decade-old design.
On the other side, mechanical aspect didn’t change too much for all these years, just it is the case with SUV siblings Land Cruiser, Sequoia and Lexus LX 570. Some reports suggest that the 2021 Toyota Tundra Diesel could come with a couple of exclusive color options in the offer, though there is no official confirmation for that.
We definitely won’t see any important change in the cabin 2021 Toyota Tundra Diesel. Other than a new instrument cluster, which will be adapted to a diesel engine, the rest of the interior design will remain identical, with the exception of possible new color schemes.
This truck comes in two cabin layouts, Double Cab and CrewMax, and both versions are very generous in terms of space. This truck may lack some of the latest tech features but still leads the segment in terms of safety systems, as the famous Safety Sense package is standard across the whole range.
